Barbara Stallings Edmonds, of Laurel, passed away on November 27, 2019, at the age of 71. She was born in York, Alabama on April 4, 1948.
Prior to retirement Mrs. Edmonds was a teacher’s assistant with the Jones County School System.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Henry Stallings, Sr. and Walterene Nance Stallings.
Survivors include her husband, James Edmonds of Laurel; one son, Dwayne E. Edmonds of Laurel; two daughters, Terri E. Bourque of DeKalb and Deborah E. Parnell of Laurel; four grandsons; one granddaughter; thirteen great grandchildren; and four brothers, C. H. Stallings, Jr. of Mobile, Al, Richard Stallings of Irvington, AL, Glenn Stallings of Laurel, and Timothy Stallings, of Arizona.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Denham Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, November 30, 2019. Interment will be at Denham Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends Curtis Gipson, Chip Phillips, Steve Smith, and Alton Stokes.
