Eddie Lavon Ainsworth, 59, of Laurel, Mississippi, entered his heavenly home on Monday, November 30, 2020, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, October 17, 1961, in Laurel, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel and burial will follow in Union Line Cemetery. Bro. Guy Ellzey will officiate.

Eddie was a 1979 graduate of Stringer Attendance Center. After graduation, Eddie joined the National Guard and served our country for several years. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Stringer. Eddie was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending his spare time hunting and fishing. He had a passion for restoring antique Ford trucks. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lavon and Lavern Ainsworth.
Survivors include his sisters Peggy Scott (Billy), Tammy Miller (Daniel) and his brother, Brian Ainsworth (Kim). His nieces; Wendy Parker, Christy Sims, Jessica Williams, April Allen. One nephew, Brooks Thomas. His great nieces; Maykynah Parker, Kennedy Gardner, Kennedy Williams, Everly Parker and Olivia Sims. His great nephews; Conner Thomas, and Zakkary Williams. His uncle Virgil Ainsworth. His aunts; Bonnie Jean Williams, Donna Miller and Cynthia Ainsworth as well as a host of cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Larry Ainsworth, Gary Ainsworth, David Yarbrough, Dana Ainsworth, Nelson Ainsworth and Joey Ainsworth.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robby Yates, Billy Scott and Daniel Miller.
