Funeral services for Vivien Corley, 100, of Raleigh were held January 25, 2019, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the North Raleigh Cemetery.

Dr. Steve McDonald officiated. Pallbearers were Gerald Thompson, Donald Boykin, Josh Fountain, Eric McDonald, Marty Puckett and Phil Puckett.

Mrs. Corley died Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Magee General Hospital. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Raleigh, she was a founding member of Raleigh Woman’s Club and served as a member for 79 years. She was a bank teller at Bank of Raleigh for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Samuel Corley, Jr.; son, William Samuel Corley, III; parents, George Henry and Mary Magdaline Beaver Thompson; sisters, Essie Pearcey and Hazel Bryant and brothers, James Fuller Thompson and George Kerney Thompson.

Survivors include her son, George Carroll Corley (Jenny) of Madison; daughter-in-law, Sandra Martin Corley of Raleigh; grandchildren, Camala Corley Wyatt of Brandon and William Scott Corley (Heather) of Raleigh and great grandchildren, Tripp Wyatt, Corley Wyatt, Will Wyatt, Lucas Glenn, and London Corley.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh was in charge of arrangements.
