Winford H. Simpson, 80, of Stringer, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday November 10, 2020, at Jefferson Davis Extended Care in Prentiss, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, May 16, 1940, in Stringer, Mississippi.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Stringer, MS with burial to follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Simpson; father, Oscar Simpson; mother, Eula Simpson; sister, Gladys Walley (Dan); brother, Charles Simpson (Mildred).
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Helen Simpson; daughters, Teressa Newell (Rusty), Melissa Foster (Randy), Wanda Keyes, Debra Russ, and Wendy Prince; 8- grandchildren; 19- great grandchildren; brother, Prentiss Simpson (Linda); a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Corey Downs, Randy Foster, Kevin Ishee, Braxton Dykes, and Bobby Dale Harvey.
