Sonya Ann Rawls McPhail, 65, of Hattiesburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at Merit Health Wesley Hospital in Hattiesburg. Due to the health guidelines regarding Covid-19 Virus, a celebration of Sonya’s life will be held at a later date.
Sonya was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and was a loving caring mother to her children and family. She was the owner of McPhail Medical Transcription until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry McPhail;a daughter, Emily Ann McPhail; her mother, Merle Willoughby; father, Winford Rawls; a brother, Van Rawls; and a step-sister, Doris Rawls.
She is survived by a son, Clint McPhail of Ft. Worth, TX; two daughters, Lori (Corey) Conner and Noel McPhail, both of Hattiesburg; a step-son, Larry (Tina) McPhail and step-daughter, Susan (Brian) Gregg, both of Mobile, AL; five grandchildren, Jackson McPhail, Avery McPhail, both of Ft. Worth, TX, Lilly Conner, Charley Rose Conner and Amelia Jones, all of Hattiesburg; five step-grandchildren, Lexy Hall, Hannah Kirkland, Chaz McPhail, Drake McPhail, and Gabe Shepard.
