Norman Patton Womble, 74, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, died Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, January 31, 1946, in Bay Springs, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs and burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Keith Ulmer will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wright and Odessa Womble, son, John Thomas Womble, brothers, John Milton Womble, William Melvin Womble, Marlon Womble, Samuel Wright Womble, James Everett Jernigan, sisters, Ruth Jernigan Johnson, Katie Jewel Womble Jenkins, Nan Jernigan Graham.
Survivors include his daughter, Nicole Gilpin (Lee), sons, Patton Womble, Bobby Winchester, grandchildren, Anna Marie Gilpin, Zane Thomas Gilpin, Dalton Asher Womble, Devon Wright Womble, Britton McKinley Womble, sisters, Frankie Jernigan Robertson, Shari Jernigan, Patsy Womble Hadaway and a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
