David Butler, age 67, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 25, 2020. He was a long-time resident of Hammond, LA. David was an extremely hard worker and had a true gift for carpentry. He dedicated many years building houses and even taught his son the definition of hard work. David was a selfless man who would do anything he could for those he cared about. He was truly a strong man who will be forever missed.
David is survived by his son, Joshua David Butler; sister, Cynthia Ann Butler; brother, Dwight Butler; loving ex-wife, Anna Marie Butler; nieces, Brittany Ann Robillard, Jessica Butler, Lauren Patton, Gabby Arena; nephews, Garrett Taylor, Clayton Butler, Justin Arena, Evan Magee; and several great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Annie Butler.
The family has requested that donations may be made to the Richard Murphy Hospice House at richardmurphyhospice.com/donate in honor of Mr. David.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle, MS and on Monday, November 2, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the home of John and Ellen Wilson.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Jones and Son Funeral Home .
