Patrick Thomas Grealish, 77, of Petal, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020,
at his home.
Mr. Grealish was of the Catholic Faith. He retired as the Vice President General Superintendent at McClier, where he worked for 22 years. He was Park Commissioner for 36 years for the Salt Creek District in Palatine, IL. He had a passion for coaching Pee Wee football, which he did for 19 years. He was an Eagle Scout. He spent a lot of his time tinkering and puttering in his garage. He loved his birds. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Margaret Grealish; his first wife, Barbara Grealish; his brother, Peter Grealish; his sister, Peggy Mathis; and his grandson, Brandon McKissack.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Gloria Grealish of Petal; four children, Jennifer Grealish of Palatine, IL, Patrick (Mary) Grealish of Indianapolis, IN, Matthew Grealish of Sacramento, CA, and Timothy Grealish of Palatine, IL; four step-children, Michael McKissack of Petal, John (Linda) McKissack of Ocean Springs, MS, Suzanne (Russell) Clark of Petal, and Danny Mckissack of Petal; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Albert of Chicago, IL; his brother, John Grealish of Chicago, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 limitations, the family will be having a private graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Petal.
