Audrey McDermit, 83, of Petal, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019, at Asbury Hospice House. Visitation will be Monday, December 23, 2019, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal with services immediately following at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. McDermit was of the Christian faith. She loved her family and cooking. She was an avid reader, her favorite books being Amish Christian Fiction. Her favorite time of year was Christmas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel R. and Edna A. Blackledge; her husband, Wallace E. McDermit; and one sister, Betty Baty.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Nobles (Jimmy) of Petal and Janet Knight (Steve) of Runnelstown; one brother, Danny Blackledge (Kathy) of Petal; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
