Services for Mrs. Nanette Smith Braddock, age 66, of Richton, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Thomas Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery with Ethan Walley, B. J. Mauldin, Kevin West, Josh Walley, Danny Turner, and Bruce Mauldin serving as pallbearers.

Nanette was born in Laurel, MS to Ellis W. and Gatsye Smith on December 18, 1954. She was a 1972 graduate of Sand Hill High School and Jones County Junior College, and was a committed employee of the Kelly Companies of Waynesboro, MS for over 30 years. She was a lifelong member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church of Richton, where she taught the adult women’s Sunday School class. She loved the Lord, her family, and her church family with all her heart. She loved to spend time with her family, especially around Sunday dinner, going on trips and seeing the sights with her husband, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis W. and Gatsye Smith, and a daughter, Jacqueline L. Braddock.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Lavelle Braddock of Richton; her daughters, Daffiny (Reggie) Walley of Richton and Deidre (Alex) Green of Petal; her grandchildren, Ethan (Anna) Walley of Leakesville, Cameron Walley of Richton, Kyndal Reynolds, Cooper Reynolds, and Cambry Green, all of Petal; her sister, Imogene (Marlon) Walley of Waynesboro; her brother, Sam (Martha) Smith of Wiggins, and a host of nieces, nephews, and an untold number of friends.
