Services will be held Friday, March 6, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. for Mr. Arthur Hinton, age 72, of Richton, at Jones and Son Chapel. Mr. Hinton passed away on February 29, 2020, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Bro. Dean Stewart and Bro. Marvin Griffin will officiate with burial to follow in Seminary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garth Breland, Josh Carnahan, Charlie Herring, Clayton Hinton, J.D. Hinton, Chaz Roberts and Chad Lott as alternate.
Mr. Hinton was preceded in death by his parents, David and Thelma Hinton; brother, Baby Boy Hinton.
He is survived by his wife, Serita Hinton of Richton; daughter, Tonya (Randall) William of Theodore, AL; son, Brent (Ashley) Hinton of Richton; grandchildren, Bryce Hinton, Ashton Randall, Addison Grace Hinton; sister, Iola Hinton of Richton.
Mr. Hinton was a member of Union Baptist Church and attended Macedonia Baptist Church and Lake Eddins Community Church. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran; retired as a crew leader with Kimberly Clark after 31 years of service; worked with Lowes in Hattiesburg for 5 years; and the MS Forrestry Service as a crew leader for 6 years.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2020, 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
