Roger Paul Reed, 72, of Raleigh, Mississippi, died Friday, November 8, 2019, at VA Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born Tuesday, December 31, 1946, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Raleigh in MS. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 11, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Raleigh and the Burial will follow in North Raleigh Cemetery. Dr. Jeff Myers and Dr. Keith Gordan will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements.

Roger was a member of First Baptist church of Raleigh where he served as greeter. He was a long time member of the choir. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed being outside and doing carpentry work.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Margaret Reed, son, Kevin Reed, brother, Richard Reed.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Ruth Ann Reed, sons; Darin Reed (Melissa), Marcus Boyles (Myra), Randy Carroll (Amy), grandchildren; Jason Reed, Brandon Reed, Aaron Reed, Kennedy Reed, Rebecca Reed, Victoria Anglin (Dylan), Camille Boyles, Jameson Carroll, brother, Tom Reed, sisters, Shirley Levengood (Dave), Nancy Cathpoole (Phil), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Murphy, J. R. Buffington, Damon Ivy, Bill Hardin, David Nichols and Sam Yeager.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
