Larry Steven Murray, 67, of Raleigh, Mississippi, died Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, November 27, 1952, in Merced, California.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Wilkinson Memorial Baptist Church in Mize, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Wilkinson Memorial Baptist Church and the Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Danny Dickerson and Bro. Larry Dennis will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements.

Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, Uncle and brother. He was a wonderful friend to everyone who knew him. He loved his kids and grandchildren and played a huge part in their lives. Larry worked hard and had numerous occupations he was good at, including but not limited to, driving a truck for 40 plus years. His hobbies included shooting guns, hunting, listening to George Jones and aggravating grandkids for many years. He was a Baptist in religion who loved the Lord with all of his heart. He will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Oliver and Ruby Lavada Murray, grandparents, William and Molly Murray and Lula Cain and James Sharp, brothers, John Murray, Jimmy Don Murray, Tommy Ray Murray, sisters, Sue Smith, Alice Mullins and Juanita Murray.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Mary Kathleen Murray, sons, Caleb Murray, James Goforth, Michael Murray, Duane Murray, daughters, Mary Foster (Kenny), grandchildren, Devin Mobbs (Annabeth), Christopher Mobbs (Amanda), Rebecca Westbrook (Brandon), Jonathan Goforth (Venie), Hunter Goforth (Danielle), Rena Freeman (Mark), great-grandchildren, Ava Westbrook, Remi Westbrook, Brooklyn Goforth, Brantley Goforth, Athena Simmons, Grayson Mobbs, Clarissa Mobbs, Daniel Mobbs, sisters, Linda Young, Pat Dyer, brother, Sammy Murray (Bobbie) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be James Goforth, Christopher Mobbs, Jonathan Goforth, Hunter Goforth, Kenny Foster, and Brandon Westbrook.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Easterling, Devin Mobbs, Tracy Westbrook, and Randy Knight.
