Essie Sellers Hickman, age 93, passed away October 16, 2020, at her home in Perkinston, MS. She was born April 7, 1927, in Wiggins, MS to the late Thomas and Eva Sellers.
Essie is also preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Robinson W. Hickman Sr.; sons, Steven M. Hickman and Robinson W. Hickman Jr.; daughter, Virginia Elaine; nine sisters and five brothers.
Mrs. Hickman is survived by her children, Joseph (Patricia) Hickman of Perkinston, MS, P.G. (Diane) Hickman of Perkinston, MS, Virginia (Terrill) Eaton of Purvis, MS, Elizabeth (Ron) Willison of Perkinston, MS, Roger (Becky) Hickman of Perkinston, MS, Ruth (Rick) Beheler of Greer, SC, Sarah (James) Smith of Perkinston, MS, Russell Hickman of Perkinston, MS, and Wanda (Tobias) Torjusen of Gulfport, MS. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Moore Funeral Home. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 21, 2020, at Moore Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hickman Cemetery. Moore Funeral Services in Wiggins is in charge of the arrangements.
