Graveside services for Mr. James Houston Kelly, of Richton, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2020, at the Edwards Cemetery in Ricthon with Mitchell Kelly, Timothy Busby, Charles Woodward, Joseph Busby, Malcomb Edwards, Jeffery Kelly, and Josey Kelly serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Kelly was a hard working man and a jack of all trades. He last worked with the Mississippi Department of Transportation. He served in the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division, 323rd Regiment, Company K, during World War II. He was stationed in Hawaii for a period of time, then saw action in the Philippines and the Atoll Islands. He was the recipient of a Bronze Star.

He was preceded in death by his son, James Michael Kelly; his parents, Ivy and Meldrith Kelly, and 7 siblings.

He leaves behind his beloved with of 70 years, Elizabeth Kelly; his daughter, Hilda Joyce Busby; his grandchildren, Michael C. Busby, Joseph B. Busby, Timothy D. Busby, Jeffery M. Kelly, Joshua W. Kelly, Mitchell Kelly, and Josey Kelly, and also 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Kelly will be held from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2020, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
