Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Shelton Baptist Church in Moselle for Susan Elaine Patterson Moore, age 70, of Gulfport, MS who passed away and entered the gates of Heaven on September 29, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Moselle. Bro. Charles Brady will officiate with burial to follow in Shelton Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chet Moore, Luke Moore, David Aultman, Trenton Graham, Trevor Graham, Ronnie Sanford and Michael Sanford.
She was born on February 18, 1949, to Floyd Thaxton and Doris Mae Patterson. Susan was an Elementary Ed teacher for 25 years and loved her educational family. As many people have stated, she was one of a kind. She was a true loyal friend to many. She loved life and enjoyed being with friends and family.
She is survived by her son, Chris (Julie) Moore of Satellite Beach, FL; daughter, Hollie (Chris) Parker of Moselle; grandchildren, Samantha Moore of Oxford, Chet, Luke, and Matt Moore of Satellite Beach, FL, John Thaxton, Julia and Noah Parker of Moselle; brothers, Floyd Thaxton Patterson, Jr. of Starkville, Allen Patterson of Vancleave, Richard and John Clark of Sumrall; sisters, Becky Cuculli of Poplarville and Beth Patterson of Gulfport.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Shelton Baptist Church. Jones and Son Funeral Home of Moselle is in charge of services.
