MSgt Bobby Ray Parker, (USAF RET), 83, of Purvis, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital. A private family service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2020, at the Purvis Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with interment in Cherished Acres Cemetery.

Bobby was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant after twenty years of service during which time he served his Country during the Viet Nam War. He then worked with the U. S. Postal Service as a letter clerk and then later he worked for the Hattiesburg Credit Union as a loan officer.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Parker; mother, Edna Fairley; two sisters, Ellen Croy and Betty McKenney.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sue Parker of Purvis; three sons, Mike (Peggy) Parker of Madison, Ken Parker, Faron (Melissa) Kiser of Purvis; four daughters, Karen (Ben) Blodgett of CA, Sandra Lynn Warren, Kelly Thrasher, Renee Lungrin of Yazoo, MS; grandchildren, Kalie (Christopher) Hudson, Haven Kiser, Jacob Blodgett, Ellie Blodgett, and numerous other grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, John Tucker Hudson and Hawkins Kiser Hudson.
