Mr. Eddie “Talmadge” Byrd Jr., 80, of Wiggins, passed away July 18, 2019, in Wiggins. He was a member of Landmark Memorial Baptist Church and a truck driver for A.L. Smith Oil Company and was a United States Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife Diane Byrd; his parents, Eddie and Nola Byrd Sr.; granddaughter, Tina Cheree and sister, Nettie Mae Lyons.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Howard (Phil) of Carnes, Jim Byrd of Wiggins and Colleen Martens (Chuck) of Wiggins; eleven grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins is in charge of the arrangements.
