Mr. Eldon “Red” Ladner, 91, of Wiggins, passed away January 25, 2020, at Azalea Garden Nursing and Rehab in Wiggins.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wiggins and was Sheriff of Stone County for many years. Mr. Red was a Mason and United States Marine Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Esta Lea King Ladner; his parents, Orvis and Hattie Davis Ladner; his siblings, Louise Thompson, Palma Ladner, Talma Ladner, Edward Ladner and Alberta O’Neil

He is survived by his daughter, Regina Davenport (Buddy) of Wiggins and his son, Clark Ladner (Robin) of Wiggins; three grandchildren, Jaclyn Parker (John), Joseph Davenport (Staci) and Zach Ladner and six great grandchildren, Estee, Collin, Kyle, Owen, Lana and Holli Jo.

Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins with burial to follow in Ladner Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins.
