A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. for Mr. Kenneth Mack "Pete" Busby, age 88, of Petal, at Stevens Cemetery. Mr. Busby passed away on May 26, 2020, at the Hattiesburg Health and Rehab. Bro. Jim Slowy will officiate the service.

Mr. Busby was preceded in death by his daughter, Carla Renee Busby; parents, Jimmy and Roberta Busby; sister, Louise Cagle; brothers, Edward and Larry Busby.

He is survived by his daughter, Joy (Stephen) Jolly of Petal, Michele (Bill) Pendergrast of Petal; son, Wayne (Amanda) Busby of Calera, AL; ex-wife, Maxine Busby of New Augusta; grandchildren, Sydney Jolly, Ella Jolly, Tosha Lees, Lane Pendergrast, Aeryn Busby, Connor Busby; great-grandchild, Carter Lees-Diel; brother, Billie Busby of Beaumont; sisters, Jo Nobles of Runnelstown, Sybil Knight of Hattiesburg, Martha McRaney of Petal, Barbara Goldsmith of Brandon; and a host of other relatives.

Mr. Busby was a member of the New Augusta Methodist Church. He was a mechanic for many years and worked at Camp Shelby for over 10 years. Mr. Busby was an Air Force and National Guard veteran. He was the former owner of the Busby Service Station in New Augusta and owner of Pete's Place in New Augusta.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2020, 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
