William 'Billy' Oliver Grayson, 86, of Louin, Mississippi, passed away, Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Wesley Merit Health in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Monday, February 5, 1934, in Louin, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs and the Burial will follow in Louin Cemetery. Bro. Keith Ulmer and Bro Van Wilbon will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
Billy served 4 years in the Army and 17 in the Air Force. He loved nature and enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, horseback riding and just being with people of all ages and always a story to tell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, O.J. and Blanche Grayson, first wife, Mavis Ishee Grayson, son, Donald Keith Grayson, brother, James Grayson and sister Edie Grayson Stringer.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Gerry Grayson, son, David Grayson, daughters, Angela Clayton (Ronnie), Beth Temple (Tommy), Rose Smith (Charlie), 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, daughter-in law, Sandra Grayson, sisters, Carloyn Gaines (John), Joyce Clark, sister-in-law, Rosemond Ward (George), special adopted friend, Ashley Ratcliff.
Pallbearers will be Cade Russell, Chris Boozer, Jordan Grayson, Jason Clayton, Jonathan Temple, Preston Beard and Tanner Grayson.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Joe Ishee, Joseph Russell, Colin Russell, Bill McKenzie and Josh Grayson.
