Mr. S. A. Anderson, 83, of Hattiesburg, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family on April 12, 2020. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and was a self-employed pulpwood hauler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Scott and Alice Morticia (McLendon) Anderson; daughter, Teresa Lynn Anderson; his siblings, E. J. Anderson, Shirley Williams, Prentiss Anderson, Everett Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Herbert Lee Anderson, George Anderson, Orhee Sullivan, Myrtle Haynes, and Van Arthur Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Anderson of Hattiesburg; daughters, Bobbie Jean Fortenberry of Wisconsin, Brooke Abney of Purvis, Kimberly Michelle Anderson of Richton, Jerri Ann Martin Spiers (Donnie) of New Augusta, Becky Martin of Hattiesburg; step-daughter, Denise Francis (Phillip) of North Carolina; seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his sister, Alice Moreau of Florida; his brother, David Anderson of Florida and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 12 noon, Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Anderson Beulah Land Cemetery. Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins is in charge of the arrangements.
