Services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. for Mr. Tyrone Simmons, Sr., age 80, of Wiggins, at Jones and Son Chapel in Beaumont. Mr. Simmons passed away on December 20, 2020, at Windham House in Hattiesburg. Bro. Bo Walker and Bro. Brad O'Neal will officiate the service with burial to follow in Fairley Cemetery in Wiggins. Pallbearers will be Shane Breland, Tommy Simmons, Nick Simmons, Dale Simmons, Chuck Stanley, Justin Brown and Jamie Brown as Alt.
Mr. Simmons was a member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church in Benndale. He was a Veteran with the Army National Guard for 9 years and was a pipefitter for numerous years.
Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his wife, Clair Simmons; parents, Ernest Ray and Gladys Simmons; brothers, Oytt Simmons and Larry Simmons.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Billy) Holifield of Oak Grove; sons, Poncho (Linda) Simmons of Morgan City, LA, Mike (Jeanne) Simmons of Morgan City, LA; grandchildren, Kristi Simmons, Jeremy (Harley) Graham, Hollie (Matt) Judice, Skilar Simmons; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Otis Ray Simmons of Purvis; honorary son, Mike (Malorie) Williams of Purvis.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22, 2020, 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Beaumont.
