Barbara G. Hegwood, 66, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at her home in Taylorsville, Mississippi. She was born Friday, June 12, 1953, in Jacksonville, Texas.
A private family Graveside Service will be held on a later date at Mineral Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hegwood was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.
She was preceded in death by parents, Len Ervin Sr. and Betty Lou Young Gibson; one son, Nathan Hegwood; and one sister, Alice Bankston.
Survivors include her four loving children, April Clopton and husband, Tommy, of Wesson; Jeremiah Hegwood and wife, Mandy, of Taylorsville, Katelyn Hegwood of Laurel, and Macy Hegwood of Taylorsville; four grandsons, Micah, Trace, Nolan, and Kye; two granddaughters, Lily and Paisleigh; and one brother, Len Gibson and wife, Julie, of Taylorsville; two nephews, Trey Gibson and Casey Gibson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Micah McDaniel, Trace Clopton, Nolan Hegwood, and Kye Hegwood.
