Ora Dobson Manns passed away on June 17, 2020 at the age of 84. Ora was born on November 27, 1935 in Vest, Kentucky. She later moved to Rensselaer, Indiana where she met her future husband, James. They were married for 56 years and had three children. They moved their family to Sandersville, MS in 1971.
Ora was preceded in death by her husband, James; son, James Rick Manns; daughter, Vicky Lynn Manns; parents, Adam and Mary Dobson; sisters, Alma Sizemore and Helen Barnett; and brothers, Bart Dobson, Buddy Dobson, and Dale Dobson.
She is survived by one son, Ronnie Manns (Deborah); sisters, Ritha Walker, Sophia Foster, Phyllis Wireman (Kirby), Anita Brunton (Ron); brothers, Elmer Dobson (Edith), Sidney Dobson (Jackie), Earl Dobson (Sally); eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her special friend, Jamie Jefferson; and her beloved poodle, Peewee.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Blackledge Cemetery in Jones County.
