Funeral services for Richard Kim Bryant, 60, of Taylorsville were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Summerland Baptist Church in Taylorsville with interment in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville.
Bro. Eric Estes officiated. Pallbearers were Dink Ford, Cain Ford, Jim Wade Ford, Ben Ford, Trenny Walley, Dan Wagner.
Mr. Bryant died Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. He was a 1976 graduate of Taylorsville High School where he continued to support Tartar Athletics. He recently retired from Southern Pine Electric after 40 years of service. For the past year he enjoyed life fishing, hunting, watching sporting events and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Byron Bryant Jr. and grandparents, Byron Sr., and Hettie Stringer Bryant, Claude Eaton and Gladys Eaton Jones. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Karen Carter Bryant; daughter, Kaci Bryant; mother, Claudette Eaton Bryant; brother, Sonny Bryant and wife, Christye; sister, Stacy Bryant Hawkins and husband, Billy; brother-in-law, Keith Carter and wife, Stacy, and a host of nieces and nephews.
