C. V. ‘Sonny’ Herrington, Jr. 85, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, departed this life on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at Jasper General Hospital in Bay Springs, MS. He was born Friday, August 31, 1934, in Bay Springs, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the New Home Baptist Church in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at New Home Baptist Church and burial will follow in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Charles Welch will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather as well as a master mechanic who was Service Manager at Hankins Chevrolet in Taylorsville, MS for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Vardaman Sr., and Chassie Herrington, daughter, Julie Herrington, sister Jan Hough.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sheila Herrington, son, Brian Herrington (Rhonda), grandchildren, Colin and Grace Herrington, Sister, Mollie Stringer (Haskel) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
