Larry Charles Skipper, 71, of New Augusta, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020, at his home. Visitation will be Monday, July 20, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at Piney Woods House of Hope with memorial services immediately following at 10 a.m. A military graveside service will follow in New Augusta Cemetery.
Mr. Skipper served in the United States Marines Corps. He attended Piney Woods House of Hope and loved to hunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Effie Skipper; one sister, Lula S. Walker; and one brother, Jimmy Skipper.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Skipper of New Augusta; two daughters, Deborah (Jason) Byrd of Beaumont and Leah Bolton of New Augusta; one son, Dewayne Watkins of Dauphin Island, AL; six granddaughters, Samantha Lott, LaBriska Sylvester, Kasey Watkins, Meagan Watkins, Harley Byrd, and Kaily Csaszar; one grandson, Nicholos Watkins; eight great grandchildren; and two nephews, Mike Walker and Charles Walker.
