Luther H. Cagle, 89, of Hattiesburg, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Asbury Hospice House. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Moore Purvis Chapel with services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven.
Mr. Cagle served in the United States Navy for eight years before beginning his career in Sheet Metal Fabrications. He was a member of Slade Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Cagle; his wife, Helen Cagle; one daughter, Linda Sue Cagle; two brothers, Edward Cagle and Freddie Cagle; and two sisters, Mary Ann Breland and Faye Cagle.
He is survived by one daughter, Debbie Jean Cagle of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Beulah Carter of Lumberton, Ethel Mae Nobles of Purvis, and Frances Hartfield of Hattiesburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and four step-children.
