Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at Jones & Son Chapel in Moselle for Mr. Deboyd “Deboy” Knight, age 84, of Ellisville, who died on October 18, 2019, in Laurel. Bro. D. J. Smith and Bro. Haskel Rhodes will officiate with burial to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Ellisville.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Knight, Joshua Smith, Scott Robertson, Mark Young, Tommy Kirby, Keith Lowery and Matthew Knight as alternate.
Mr. Knight was survived by his wife, Robbie D. Knight of Ellisville; children, Kelton (Joan) Knight of Moselle, Kaye (Robert) Smith of Moselle, and Sandra (Jody) Smith of Ellisville; 7 grandchildren, Chris (Courtney), Tracy (Matthew), Mark (Angel), Josh (Kimberly), Jill, Amanda (Sott), and David; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Irma Lee Knight, and a brother, Max R. Knight.
Mr. Knight served in the MS National Guard and then in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an ironworker for over 40 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #462 for over 50 years and a member of the American Legion.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2019, at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Moselle.
