Gentry Lee Helton, 31, of Hattiesburg, passed away on April 23, 2020, at his home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at 3:00 p.m.. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Petal.
Gentry loved hunting and fishing but nothing was more important to him than his family. His two boys were his proudest accomplishment; they were his life.
Gentry’s smile lit up the room and he was always willing to help anyone regardless of the struggles he was dealing with in his own life. His family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace although he has left a void that can never be filled.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Otis Helton; his maternal grandfather, Wilburn Eatmon; and his uncle, John Gibbs.
He is survived by his father, Randy Helton of Seminary; his mother, Jo Lynn Helton of Petal; his sister, Ferris Daley of Petal; the mother of his children and partner, Cheyenne Ward of Hattiesburg; his two sons, Leyton “Cruz” Helton and Camden Lee Helton; his paternal grandmother, Retha Helton of Petal; his maternal grandmother, Peggy Slade of Hattiesburg; and his three aunts, Denise Storey (Bobby) of Manila, AR, Terri Gibbs of Petal, and Regina Shelton of Richton.
