Billy Fortenberry, 80, of the Dixie Community, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020, at the Windham House. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Dixie Baptist Church with interment in Dixie Baptist Church Cemetery to follow.
Billy was an active member of Dixie Baptist Church prior to his illness, where he served as a Deacon and in many other capacities. He retired from Ensco Drilling after many years of service. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed working in his yard and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mattie Fortenberry; a brother, Vernon Fortenberry; and two sisters, Helen Williams and Evelyn Griffith.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Fortenberry of Dixie Community; two sons, Davey (Denise) Fortenberry, Joey (Angie) Fortenberry, both of the Dixie Community; a brother, Charles (Brenda) Fortenberry of Hurley; a sister, Joyce (Bert) Turnage of Ocean Springs; four grandchildren, Nicole Fortenberry, Sarah (Trey) Grice, Dustin Loftin, and Amber Fortenberry.
Visitation for Billy will be 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Dixie Baptist Church.
