Dr. Danielle Suggs Garrison (68), of Summerland, Mississippi peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her family on January 11, 2020. She sowed, nurtured and reaped the seeds of a fulfilling life sprinkling each day with a bit of sass. Her brave journey with ALS was another demonstration of her strength and fortitude.

Danielle was nurturer and teacher to many, a prolific gardener and native plant enthusiast, chef extraordinaire, an inspired dancer, a talented musician and singer, and an uncompromisingly loving friend. She was a dedicated servant to her community and its creatures as a veterinarian from 1980 to 2017. She was the strong minded rock that everyone counted on for support, guidance and an uncanny ability to tell it like it is.

Preceded in death by her parents Hubert Suggs and Carolyn McWhorter, her legacy lives on through her family, including: her husband David Garrison, children Isaac (Ashley), Seth (Barret), Rebekah (Josh), and Adrian (Jennifer); grandchildren Shelby, Payton, Aksel, and Juno; brother Stephen Suggs (Joyce), and lifelong friend Tom Waggener; her fur babies Rosie, Ella, Willamina, CV Bach, Mei, Basil, Lyra, Wilder, Wren, and Fanny.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Garrison home Sunday, January 19, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Casual, colorful attire suggested (gathering will be held outdoors). Join friends and family as we sing and reflect on a life well lived. (link to address: 2638 SCR8, Taylorsville, MS 39168)
