James “Jim” Tisdale, 57, of Hattiesburg, passed away at Ochsner’s Medical Center, North Shore, in Slidell, LA on Friday, January 24, 2020. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at the Hattiesburg Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with interment in Highland Cemetery to follow.
Jim was a member of the Assemblies of God. He graduated from Oak Grove High School and attended Pearl River Community College, then after many years of service, he retired as an Operating Engineer with the City of Hattiesburg Water Plant. He enjoyed ship modeling and studying World War II history.
He was preceded in death by an infant, Jamie Tisdale; his father, SMSgt Samuel H. Tisdale, Jr.; brother-in-law, Col. Alan Mirrielees; and in-laws Franklin and Geraldine “Geri” Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Sheri Tisdale of Hattiesburg; two sons, Jameson Tisdale and Jonathan Davis, both of Hattiesburg; mother, Alice Tisdale of Hattiesburg; a brother, John (Hye-sun) Tisdale of Hattiesburg; two sisters, Amanda Mirrielees of Rapid City, S.D., Sharron (Clay) Taylor of Hattiesburg.
Visitation for Jim will be at 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at the Hattiesburg Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.
