A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. for Mr. Cecil Roy Mizell, age 92, of Beaumont at Progress Cemetery. Mr. Mizell passed away on April 9, 2020, at his residence in Little Creek surrounded by his loving family. Bro. Phillip Erkhardt and Bro. Kirk Sullivan will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be Craig McArn, Donald Thurston, Jamie Freeman, Austin Lee, Dustin Mizell and Dewayne McLain. Gerald McLain and Gary Lott will serve as alternates.
Mr. Mizell was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Tometrice Breland Mizell; brothers, J.W., Theo, Dexter and Billy Ray Mizell; sisters-in-law, Avis Morphis Mizell and Shirley Mizell. He is survived by his sisters-in-law and caregivers, Annette Mizell Walley of Beaumont, Johnnie Pearl Mizell of Saraland, AL; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Mizell had several jobs in his lifetime, he worked for Greene County School System as a bus driver; Town of McLain; Meals on Wheels; Greers; McLain School; and had his own lawn service. He also served on the cemetery committee for over 20 years.
Visitation will be Monday, April 13, 2020, 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
