Johnny Patton Odom, 65, of Bay Springs gained his angel wings November 14, 2020. He was born December 1, 1954.
Johnny retired earlier this year after 38 years at Hol-Mac to enjoy his “camp life” at the river. Johnny will be remembered by those that love him as a friend always there to lend a helping hand, a good listener and always full of laughter. He was an active member of New Liberty C.M. Church.
Johnny is preceded in death by his son, Anthony Odom, parents, Ellis and Betty Odom, grandparents, Henry and Zadie Odom and Deavours and Beatrice Brady, niece, Melanie Odom, and nephews, Tyson Brown and Baby Williamson.
He is survived by his brother, Jacky (Karen) Odom; sisters, Sandra (James) Blackledge and Lynn (Larry) Parker; Nephews, Chad (Erica) Odom, Mason Parker, David (Tammy) Blackledge; nieces, Blair (Curt) Shumock, Mandy (Cade) Williamson and Kelli (Thomas) Brewer; Johnny had a host of great nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved and adored. Johnny had many friends but one special and former boss C.B. Holder.
A graveside visitation will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Stringer MS. from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with service to follow at 12:00. Bro. Bill Park will officiate.
Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Chad Odom, Mason Parker, Curt Shumock, Cade Williamson, Laine Jordan, Chuck Odom, Bill Odom, and Jeremy Brady.
