Shirley Marie Hewett, 77, of Purvis, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at her home. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. at First Pentecostal Church in Purvis with interment in Talowah Cemetery to follow.
Mrs. Shirley was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Church in Purvis, MS for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Parnic Sawyer and Katherine Authur; one brother, James “Buddy” Sawyer; and one grandson, James Glen Hewett.
She is survived by her brother, Dewayne Authur; her sister, June Authur; two sons, James Floyd (Kathy) Hewett, and Joseph Wayne (Susan) Hewett; her daughter, Frances Marie (Billy) Anderson; thirteen grandchildren, Daniel Fitzsimmons, Brittanie Lawrence, Naomi Kennedy, Cade Anderson, Aaron-Paul Fitzsimmons, Amillia Graham, Zane Anderson, Zackary Anderson, Cassie Woods, Chasity Hewett, Breana Hewett, Samantha Cochran, and Madison Hewett; and 25 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10:45 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at First Pentecostal Church in Purvis
