John Lee Hester, 68, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at his residence in Taylorsville, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, February 3, 1951, in Raleigh, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh, Mississippi. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements.
John’s greatest joy was his daughter, his son, and his pets.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alyce Marie Blackwell Hester and his father, Hubert Hester of McKenzie, TN.
Survivors include his children, Jonathan Hester and Heather Hester, sister, Ann Hester Alexander (Jack).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bezer Cemetery Fund/Liberty Baptist Church, 2807 Hwy 37 South, Raleigh, MS 39153
