David Mark Jones, 57, of Petal passed away on March 5, 2020, at Merit Health Wesley Medical Center. Services will be Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal, followed by burial in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Jones retired from the United States Army National Guard after twenty-seven years of service. He loved his country and considered it an honor to serve. He loved working on projects, music, football, and traveling. He was considered a grill master by his family, who he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Jones; and his mother, Louie Mae Stewart.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Carla Jones of Petal; his three children, Jasper Lee of Hattiesburg, Destiny Jones of Petal, Joseph Jones, of Petal; his two grandchildren, Weylin and Lane; his three sisters, Wanda Kitching of Kingston, TN, Nancy Hawkins (Jack) of Rosedale, MS, and Patricia Dufrene of Brandon; his brother, Tim Jones of Pearl; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, March 9, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal.
