Graveside services for Mr. Ronnie Joe Byrd, age 73, of the Pleasant Hill Community, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 25, 2020, at the Byrd Family Cemetery, located at 210 Issac Byrd Dr., Leakesville, MS. Bro. Don Fulmer will officiate the service and Ronnie Joe's grandchildren; Tony Pulliam, Jacob Pulliam, Blake Bufkin, Issac Byrd Jr., Chris Wilson, Bailey Pulliam, and Cassi Byrd will serve as pallbearers.
Ronnie Joe worked most of his life in the construction field before retiring as a construction engineer. He never failed to provide for his family and was a true example of what a man should be. He loved his family, the outdoors, and life in general.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Sue Byrd, his daughters; LaJuana (Andy) Pulliam and Tracy Jo Byrd, his son; Ronnie Issac (Jessica) Byrd Sr., his brother; Sherron Wayne Byrd, and his sister; Sarah Jones. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Tony Pulliam, Jacob Pulliam, Blake Bufkin, Chris Wilson, Issac Byrd Jr., and Cassi Byrd, and his great grandchildren; Bailey, Anna Claire, Caroline, Lauren Grace, and Kaleb.
