Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Central Baptist Church, Purvis for Ms. Mary Ellen Graves, age 67, of Purvis who passed from this life May 25, 2020, at Asbury Hospice. Bro. Jonathan Smith and Bro. Wilford Knight will officiate with burial to follow in the Chambliss Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Dale Stuart, Kevin Lavelle Stuart, Michael Allen Yawn, Lonnie Gene Reid, Edward Dean Madden, Christopher Shane Graves, Andrew Steven Reid, Joseph Scott Stuart and alternates, Steven Michael Yawn and James Roberts.
Mrs. Graves was preceded in death by her parents, Lavelle and Jimmie Reid.
She is survived by her son, Russell (Cindy) Graves of Purvis; daughter, Kathy (Bobby) Head of Purvis; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Graves, Ricky Dewayne Graves, Eric David Graves, Kimberly Head and Sara Nicole Graves; 3 great-granddaughters, Lyleen, Mahala Rain and Nova Jade Graves; sisters, Brenda (Glen) Yawn, Sandra (Bobby Joe) Stuart and Sylvia Madden all of Purvis; brother, Steve L. Reid of Sumrall; 8 nephews, 7 nieces and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. – until Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Central Baptist Church.
Jones and Son Funeral Home in Hattiesburg is in charge of arrangements.
