Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020, for Mrs. Cynthia Lynn Guy, age 55, of Ovett, at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton. Mrs. Guy passed away on September 22, 2020. Bro. Jasper Williams and Bro. Johnny Bryant will officiate with burial to follow in the Ovett Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Guy, Josh Metz, Richard Lee, Brandon Lee, Jerry Staggs and James Bates Jr.
Mrs. Guy was preceded in death by her husband, William Davis Guy Sr.; father, David Hue Stevens Sr.; brother, Jamie Stevens.
She is survived by her daughters, Adellia (Joshua) Metz of Ovett, Becky Guy of Ovett; son, William Davis (Brandy) Guy Jr. of Moselle; mother, Shirley Ann Walters of Forkland, AL; sisters, Elizabeth Ann (Jerry) Stagg of Forrest, MS, Donna Stevens of Di'Iberville; brothers, Milton Jack (Mary Donna) Shoemaker Jr. of Forkland, AL, David Hue Stevens Jr. of Di'Iberville; grandchildren, Madison Metz, Zoie Metz, William Davis Guy III, Brandon Turner, Joshua Braden Guy, Owen Braylin Guy, Kara Lynn Loper and Karley Robin Loper.
Cindy was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Ellisville. She was a CNA for over 37 years with Compassus Hospice and multiple other hospice in the Hattiesburg and Jones County areas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020, 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
