Annie Gunn Lewis, 90, of Heidelberg, MS, passed away on March 6, 2019 at her residence.

She was born on February 18, 1929 to Irving and Ena (Page) Gunn in Millry, AL.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that loved every member of her family, friends and helped each as she was able. She was a dedicated homemaker that loved gardening and flowers. She had a green thumb and loved flowers of every kind. She planted seeds and bulbs as long as she was physically able to do so. Her love for Jesus Christ was evident in her life and relationships. She loved and supported Southern Gospel music for more than 40 years. She was also a longtime member of Heidelberg Baptist Church. When she became unable to attend alone, she worshipped at the churches of her children.

Annie is survived by, Son, Alvin (Kim) Lewis, Jr., 3 Daughters, Sherri Lewis Dobbs, Sandy (Gary) McAdams, and Karen (Donald) Rowell, Daughterin- law, Becky Lewis, 3 Brothers, Robert (Rebekah) Gunn, John (Ouida) Gunn, and Marvin (Barbara) Gunn, 2 Brother-in-laws, Charlie Stringer, and Ken Johnson, 2 Sisters, Katie (Bobby) McIlwain, and Ruth Gunter, 13 Grandchildren, Robin (James) Parker, Ronald (Andrea) Lewis, Ryan (Chalice) Twiner, Jeremy McAdams, Tracy Ishee, Kelli (Tim) Ainsworth, Allyson (Brandon) Brock, Megan Lewis, Caleb Lewis, Micah Lewis, Jessi (Aaron) James, Amber (Dustin) McGill, and Josh Rowell 13 Great-Grandchildren, Peyton Parker, Natalie Lewis, Olivia Lewis, Camaron Twiner, Harley Twiner, Peyton McAdams, Madison Ishee, Hunter Ainsworth, Benjamin Brock, Elijah Brock, Leyton James, Landry James, and Audrey James, Best Friend & Cousin, Ruby Thrash, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Pallbearers were Ryan Twiner, Josh Rowell, Micah Lewis, Tim Ainsworth, Ronald Lewis, James Parker, Brandon Brock, and Aaron James.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving Glenn and Ena Gunn, Husband, Alvin Lewis, Sr., Son, Robert Lewis, Son-in-law, Charles Dobbs, 2 Grandchildren, Shantelle Dobbs, and Matthew Dobbs, Sister, Joyce Johnson.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 10, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at the Wright’s Funeral Home Chapel. Alvin Lewis Jr., Rev. Bill Bolton, and Rev. Bobby McIlwain, officiated.

Burial took place in the Philadelphia Cemetery (Heidelberg, MS).
