(Laurel) A trial date of September 4 has been set for Charles Darby Jr., Frank Nixon and Uloni Randolph, who are alleged to have participated in the same crimes just over a year ago. During the State’s motion to consolidate the trials to the same date, Assistant District Attorney Dennis Bisnette told the Court that there was no reason to have two or three separate trials. Jones County Circuit Court Judge Dal Williamson agreed.
Darby Jr. and Nixon are each charged with conspiracy and two counts of armed robbery. Randolph is charged with conspiracy and accessory before the fact. According to the indictment, the three were involved in varying degrees with robbing two individuals at gunpoint on April 14, 2018.
Collectively the two victims had taken from them money, cell phones, clothing, shoes and a Play Station 4.
