A Hattiesburg man and a woman were arrested on firearms charges after six people were injured during a 1:00 a.m. Saturday report of a shooting at Zo’s Corna, 104 J.C. Killingsworth Drive.
Cornelius Bowman, 36, was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Maxine Santee, 30, was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits.
They were apprehended at the scene of the incident, where police discovered a 35-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment.
When the officers arrived at the hospital, they found five other people who had arrived at the hospital in personal vehicles who tried to get treatment for the injuries.
Both suspects have been booked into the Forrest County Jail, and additional charges are pending at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
