Eighteen-year-old Seth Cranford was discovered breaking into a Davis Road property.

A Petal homeowner helped the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office by identifying and detaining a burglary suspect on their Davis Road property Tuesday morning.

Seth Cranford, 18, of Petal was discovered breaking into the Davis Road property, and a warrant had been issued by the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office Monday for Burglary of a Nonresidential Building.

Cranford was transported and booked into the Forrest County Correctional Facility and was charged with Burglary of a Nonresidential Building (Warrant), Accessory to Burglary, and Trespassing, according to Scott Lees, Public Information Officer for the Forrest County Sheriff’s Officer.

Sheriff Charlie Sims said, “The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office thanks the public’s assistance in apprehending Cranford.”
