Cooperative law enforcement work among three agencies Saturday night resulted in the arrests of two Hattiesburg men in receiving stolen property of a Petal horse trailer found in Covington County.

When Forrest County Sheriff’s deputies were told a stolen vehicle was located in Hattiesburg, they arrived at a Hattiesburg Police Department traffic stop near the intersection of Venetian Way and West Fourth Street. Two men were apprehended.

Steven Charles Cooley, 54, of Hattiesburg and Justin Kentrell Sullivan, 27, of Taylorsville each were charged with receiving stolen property.

Sullivan and Colley were transported and booked into the Forrest County Correctional Facility. After the suspects were questioned, information showed that a horse trailer also was stolen in Seminary in Covington County.

The Covington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and investigators were able to recover the horse trailer. The vehicle and the trailer will soon be returned to its owner.
