The Laurel School District will be releasing a weekly COVID-19 report. Today, they released a report showing stats for the public. Below is a statement and picture regarding the reports.
"Each week, the Mississippi State Department of Health requires all school districts to report prior week COVID-19 numbers every Monday by 12:00 pm. Each school is reported even if there are no cases.
To keep the community updated on the impact of COVID-19 in schools, we will begin posting this report weekly, rather than by individual cases.
However, parents of impacted students are notified as soon as we are made aware of a positive case in the schools and contact tracing is complete.
We encourage everyone in the community to continue wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. It will take everyone working together. #MaskOnTornadoes"
