Amidst COVID-19 concerns and vendor participation, Laurel's annual Loblolly festival scheduled for the first week of October has been canceled.
Laurel Main Street released this statement via their Facebook page:
"It is with heavy hearts that we announce that the 2020 Loblolly Festival has been canceled. We will still proceed with our annual Scarecrow Harvest, so we hope you’ll #GetDowntown and enjoy!"
They also cited in responses to comments on their post, "they tried everything in their power to recruit vendors to make the festival happen, but to no avail."
