The Jones County Sheriff's Department has arrested Diego Ruiz on the charge of Molestation (touching of a child for lustful purposes). Diego Ruiz is 31-years-old while his alleged victim is under the age of 16.
Ruiz has been booked into the Jones County Adult Detention Facility on the Molestation charge plus three traffic offenses as well.
JCSD Investigator Sergeant J.D. Carter advises, "Molestation charges have been filed against Diego Ruiz. We take these cases extremely seriously and will work tirelessly to ensure justice for the alleged victim who is under the age of sixteen."
Carter concludes, "The victim and family members will have access to the services of our JCSD Victims' Advocate Deputy Priscilla Pitts who works closely with victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and dating violence."
